I like the AR platform because it is more reliable and it's our militarys gun. My dad served in the Army and his favorite between these guns is the AR platform The Ak is just not my favorite gun.
I prefer AR over the AK Because I dislike the mag system I don't want a thing that I have to twist my wrist to get a mag in. And It looks ugly. If I was ever to Switch to the AK platform (witch is very unlikely) It would be for the folding stock. The only AR airsoft guns with folding stocks are really expensive.
The AK platform is the most common weapons system on the planet. This weapon is accredited for killing the most humans ever. shooting this hefty 7.62×39mm it definitely has much more stopping power then the AR's 5.56×45mm NATO round.
There are 13 variants of the AK vs the 6 for the AR platform. Performance wise, AR takes the cake, with a economical platform with few parts, and it is unlikely to jam as much as the AK.
I would say they are both impressive weapons, I have personally fired the Real Steel versions on several occasions and I love them both.
If I was going to start a revolution... I would choose the AK-47. I mean who doesn't want a full auto Rifle that you can buy for 12.00 U.S. dollars in the middle east!But AR platform If I was going to be a mercenary or something like that.
for Military I would go with the M9. As a Civilian I would take a Glock 17! Only the Law Enforcement can get the Glock-18. The 1911 would be a cool collectors item but not a secondary for me.
For the military It would certainly be the 1911... It's been around for a century and it's most reliable in any climate. In america it's so cheap to find
Glocks for mercenary. I like the fact on the glocks you can add extended mags so I can shoot more... but I don't like the fact that the trigger guard is so small... I have to get a custom glock because my index finger are so big!!!
But there is a different Pistol that I would go with for civilian .. The SIG SAUER P250 compact. Light compact and big grips and trigger guard. And I could throw on an extended mag so It's the best of both worlds for me...
For a knife I would choose the Ka-Bar Black Kukri Machete (if they had them on the airsoft market)mainly because I like tools that have multiple purposes one for slicing another for cutting down shrubbery.And a Ka-Bar Black Tanto Knife for regular stabbing.
What do you like more? The AK platform (AK-47)or the AR platform (M16 and M4)? Why do you choose that Platform?
